Well,

I have been researching a simple, relatively inexpensive, fixed blade for a couple of weeks now.  This weekend, as I was cleaning out and organizing my safe, I found a Cold Steel SRK that I did not even remember having.  It was stamped "Made In USA".  I was pleased as this was one of the knives I had narrowed my search to (a couple of the Beckers being the other choices).

My wife informed me that I have had this knife for around 10 years or so.  My question to you is: are the current versions still made in the US?  I noticed that all the newer ones have kydex sheaths and this one has a nylon sheath with wood (yes wood!) under the hilt area.

As I understand it, Cold Steel has had the SRK made for them from a least a couple or more sources over the years, most recently Camillus.
