| OK, I purchased this from a knife dealer at a gun show. Folder w/ lock blade, approx 4" long, with titanium handle. Then I go to look for it in the Benchmade catalog and ... "no dice." Can any one tell me whether I was ripped off for $95, plus tax? |

Big Bear - Thanks for the reply, and I'm sorry for the delay. No, the pic you posted shows a smaller knife. I just measured my blade: it is 3.5". I had a choice of no serrated or partially serrated, and I chose the latter. My handle has no liners; part of the handle is spring tensioned inward to lock the blade. The knife can be opened and closed with one hand. It's construction is simplicity itself. Titanium handle / blade / titanium handle. |

I'm guessing a BM750 "Pinnacle" I think it's been discontinued & it uses a different method of lock-up they called the "Mono Lock" instead of a traditional liner lock or the now common Axis Lock. search here www.knifecenter.com it's a good site to window shop but I think www.discountknives.com has better prices Is this it ? |
I dunno but Benchamde is a relatively large manufacture of knives & introduces new models/designs every year. They may be limited by manufacturing capacity. It also seems like they have embraced the Axis-lock & abandoned the Mono-lock. They still sell plenty of traditional liner locks. If you click on one of those 2 sites they still have some in stock. often dealers will have discontinued models in stock for up to a year. |
