Ok, please don't kill me if this has been covered, cause I missed it..

I just picked up a CRKT model 2705 at the gunshow today, and have a few questions..

First, what do you call the edge type it has?? There is no real bevel to say.. just goes from the center, and tapers straight to the edje.. Sorry, I don't know proper terms..

Second, how the heck do I sharpen this thing, if I ever need to.. I have no real plans for it's use, just wanted it..

Thanks for helping me thru my newbness.. I never have reallt thought much about knives..

The First Strike uses what is often called an appleseed grind some call it a full height convex grind. Some full convex grinds have a separate grind for the edge.  When I got mine it was quite possibly the dullest knife I've ever seen out of the box. I used sandpaper on a mouse pad to strop it until it was acceptable. It did scratch the heck out of the blade but since it's a user I don't mind. It doesn't get much belt time because I don't care for it but that's just my personal preference.
Probably any sharpening technique you use will scratch the blade. Hope you have better luck with it than I did.
