I just realized that Remington bought LAR.
Anybody know why?

Maybe they want to get into the .50 market? Or they like the .45 win mag and want to market it on a larger scale.

LAR is an OEM for many AR parts. Most of the companies selling ARs don't make any of the parts. Remington was likely a customer and just decided to buy them.
