i am having a hell of a time resizing my once-fired cases. What is the expected neck outside diameter before and after resizing? Mine were fired through my AMAC 5100 and after firing mine are .560, before firing the loaded round has a neck outside diameter of .554. When i try and run it down into the full length resizer it is trying to neck it down to .535 but i am only getting about 1/4" of the neck resized and it sticks tight. I have the hornady press and dies and am using one-shot for case lube. is there a better lube for doing 50bmg? what am i doing wrong??? i tried before and after annealing with the same results

I think the majority prefer Imperial sizing wax. Rub you fingers across the tin and then give the shell a good massage leaving a liberal amount. This should be good for a few shells before reloading your fingers.

There's also Hornady's Unique case lube, about the same as Imperial but you get more for your money. Scrape you finger in a couple places over the case mouth every couple of rounds. Keeps the inside lubed for ease of sizing, be sure to check that the dies are adjusted right.

Try these couple of things to see how they work, resizing some fired cases can be a PITA.

I tried one shot once and gave it one shot right into the garbage. It is not for the big boys toys.

This.

Best stuff I've used.

I deprime mine before resizing to make it easier as well (you can just use a long punch).

I can almost guarantee that using the "one-shot lube" is your problem.  That crap will stick .308 cases in my experience.

The Imperial die wax is the best stuff out there and it works for everything (including belt-fed fired .50 BMG brass) that I resize on my RCBS press - which is same type as yours.  I've been experimenting with Mink Oil as I'd heard that it's primarily the same thing as Imperial and only costs half as much for a tin twice as large.  You can get mink oil in tins sold next to shoe polish.

+1...Imperial is the best I've tried so far.  No stuck cases or bent press handles.
