I read an old archive thread that stated there would be no more sales of pulled military AP bullets to the civilian market. Did that go away with the sunset of the AWB? Seems like I'm seeing less and less of the pulled AP's and the prices are steadily rising.

I think it was reversed after Congressmen started asking questions. And I'm not sure but may have only applied to having brass shredded after the rounds being torn down or spent.

'Black Tip"  m2/ap bullets haven't been manufactured since WWII... everything out there was/is from WWII demill stock and is almost gone, hence the rise in price.
US 'standard' AP bullet is now the M8 API and it's still the least expensive demill projectile available, but not legal to shoot in all states due to the incendiary component.

I don't know if any AP foreign made ammo or projectiles can be imported now... all I ever see come in are regular m33 ball types with mild steel cores.

Thanks MrBen. I didn't realize that the API was banned in all states. That explains the much lower price.

I guess if I wanted some AP projo's for down the road I should get some while they're still around.

I'll restate. I didn't realize it was not legal to shoot in some states. Thanks for catching that.
