Hey guys, Just purchased a 82a1 over the weekend, it ships today, I really haven't done much reasearch on ammo yet, what type do you suggest me to buy and who from? I usually look on gun deals for my ammo needs... thanks a bunch JR |

You can buy and shoot any ammo you want. No specifics unless you detail some.
If you want to just bust rock, get any M33 ball out there. If you want to start a fire, any tracer will do. Even APIT. Want to have some fun with penetrating steel? Get AP, API or APIT. http://www.50bmgsupply.com/ammo.shtml http://www.ammunitionstore.com/categories/50-bmg-ammunition.html On the tracer rounds or any assorted mix containing a tracer mixture, have a firehose handy. If you want a highly accurate round for long distances, buy ammo with the Hornady 750 gr. A-Max projectile in it. http://www.powdervalleyinc.com/ http://www.cheaperthandirt.com/ItemListing.aspx?catid=589 You now have a few places to start from. Congrats are in order for your new toy. That is a nice piece and have fired one myself. Sucker is heavy. If you really want to try and see if you can get better results than factory ammo, might look into reloading for your piece. Initial outlay is gonna "sting" a little but after that, the possibilities are endless. |
