| Well, after much procrastination I finally put my Lee setup to work and cranked out 12 rounds. 690 SA ball weighed to within 1 grain for each group, CCI 35 primers, and H872. 3 rounds of 200, 205, 210, and 215. I'll give a range report soon. Rifle is AR50. |

One of our FCSA shooters reduced his group sizes from over 12 inches at 200 yards to about 4" at 200 by heating his ammo to about 135 degees by placing in styrofoam cooler with chemical hand warmers for about 12 hours prior to shooting.
WC872 will work better with 800 grain bullets. Have FUN, its a learning experience for all of us! |

750 yards, offhand in a hurricane. No, this was only a 100 yards range, that I put the target at the very back of, so 135 yards. I was just checking function and looking for pressure signs. Looks pretty much like my results with the same projos and powder/primers.....at 220 gr's I was starting to get flattened primers though, and I noticed the cases took more effort to resize after shooting...they ran about 2550 fps. |

What kind of velocity are you getting with the 850 grain cast bullets? Are they gas checked or not? Is there any leading problems? What alloy are you using? Sorry for all the questions but I've shot a lot of cast bullets and this sounds pretty interesting. Thanks in advance Ron |
