Lee bmg reloading kit is good budget starter, and I have seen many are happy with it and many precision shooters use lee still. But there are a few others that are better and more pricey. wideners, midway, to name a few do sell bmg reloading kits.

BTW I think we need a sticky for BMG reloading

The Lee bullet resizing die is great but the lube that comes with it sucks.  I tried everything I had for lubes that I'd collected in my 30 years of reloading and then went to H&H in Oklahoma City.  They had a product called Imperial Sizing Die Wax.  It's like magic, I could hardly hold on to the bullet.  They squirt right through the die without any trouble.  Get you some of that and your job will be much easier.  I assume your trying to rezise some API bullets or some other pulled GI bullet.  I've gone through 1800 now that I'm able to do a good job.

Also get yourself a Wilson 50 BMG Cartridge Case gage.  It will aid you in setting up your case sizer and help you make accurate uniform handloads.  I have them for .223, .308 and 50 BMG.  A lot of times the brass you get that is once fired in the 50 is in pretty bad shape and this case gage will help you make them right before you waste putting 235 grs of powder and a primer in them.

By the way I purchaed everything at Midway USA.

Good luck.

i'm new to reloading for the .50

after about pulling my hair out with lee's lube, i tried synthetic 25-40 engine oil... and it worked GREAT!!! just a little bit and resizing the .50 cases was smooth as anything.

any downsides to it?

I think if you don't get it all cleaned off it will affect the powder burn.  Imperial sizing wax is like KY jelly for reloading but doesn't affect the powder.

oh, i only used a very small amount on the inside of the neck. putting the oil on the outside is what made the difference.

Ok, you asked a question and it was answered that you run the risk of ruining your powder or primer if you do not get all of the engine oil removed. And it was suggested to use imperial sizing lube. No, one is going to twist your arm. But the above reply was really not needed. You dont have to qualify your self to us. A simple thanks will do after someone gives you a helpful suggestion after you ask for input.

uh, ok??

i was just CLARIFYING that i used just a touch inside the neck, and after the sizing process, the inside of the neck was dry.

as far as the reply being needed, why don't you look in the mirror smart guy.

(what is it with some people?)

Yes I agree. What is it about some people. Oh, I just put a little bit on the inside of the neck. And the gent that replied said that if you do not get it all out, you could have some problems. So DUH!

May your SD vary widely cause you are just so right that the little dab inside of the neck is not leaving any down further below the neck on the inside of the shoulder. Might not fully ruin the powder load. But could be enough to cause some of the load to be ruined. Just enough to cause a wide SD spread. But hey your a smart person and know better than the hive.
But wait a minute, you did listen and ordered some. Why do that if your motor oil is no problem and leaves no residue? Your a strange one for sure..
