On the Bushmaster BA50... is there any reason why they designed the bipod to cant?  If not, I prefer the fixed, non-canting (non side-to-side) bipods.  Anyone aware if any other bipod can be attached to the BA50, or is that design pretty much proprietary to the rifle?

I think it's proprietary.  But if you can attach a bottom rail section to the forearm, you might be able to get another bipod on there.

Don't know if they make bottom rails for those rifles.

Whats the diameter of the handguard? If its 2" our bipod will bolt right on. If not let me know, maybe we can make something that will fit.

I shot an email to Larry at Allied Precision Arms and he says he stocks an adapter for the BA50.  Bolts right up to the holes on the BA50 forearm that are already there.  The APA bipod has a pivot tension adjustment where you can lock down to no pivot or make it pivot only with a lot of force.  So I think that would be a solution to your problem.

Email Larry if you are interested, [email protected]

If you wanna see his bipod in action checkout his Youtube channel, Allied Precision Arms.
