Guys, I am liking the Safety Harbor upper.   Anything I should know about them, or be wary of  ?  I havent seen much posted about them. Decent items or dogs ?

Good 400-600 yard gun ? Should I expect more than that?    I doubt I'd even get to 600yards very often if at all.

TIA!

I've got a 22" one on a DPMS single shot lower.... shoots great to 400yrd with just a red-dot sight...

Here a video of one being fired:

Looks like a nice gun and nice to hear you can hit at 400 yds with a red-dot

Shooting with the red-dot how much hold over are you using at 400 yds.?

What type of red-dot are you using?

I use an OK Target (OKO) 4moa red-dot..  it's zeroed at the 400yd gong, so no hold over required at that range.

What is required to fit iron sights onto the SHF with the high rail over the action?

And do I want a 22inch or 30inch? Is the 22 particularly blasty? Extra length doesn't bother me - could always cut it down if it bugs me I guess.

The latest version of the UM50 has a stepped rail at the back so a BUIS will fit flush...  They also sport a more effective muzzle brake now.

Muzzle blast for the short barrels is slightly more than the longer barreled guns, felt recoil is slightly less,  but either still LOUD no matter the length!

30"-32" bbls are considered normal lengths for 1000yd performance from a bolt gun with 650-750gr bullets.
Go with longer than 32" if you want to shoot the 750-800gr bullets.

I like that. It looks like a nice, compact .50 BMG platform.
