Have any of your guys heard of Ben Herrera out of California? He has a small company called RSR Development. He sent me some sample rounds for my M95 that I just got. Just want to hear some good things about his reloading before I put them in my gun...

Ben is a personal friend of mine so I might be a bit biased when I say that his stuff is top notch. I know that when he had a bad batch of brass he replaced all the ammo that everyone bought w/o any hesitation.

Many guys from here and Biggerhammer have bought ammo from him and I haven't heard any complaints yet. He's a good guy and will do you right.

Thanks for the info. I just got a serious talking to from my FFL friend that transfered my M95 to me and said that this .50 business is no joke...shot some bad ammo and you will wear your decision for the rest of your life...scared me a little bit and just wanted some back-up before I depressed the trigger.

I hear ya, there are certain types of ammo to stay away from that come up for sale from time to time.

Here's a couple to stay away from...
Dominican Republic "yellow Tip", the tip is yellow and that denotes their AP type of ammo. This ammo is probably the worst out there and should never be used in any .50 period.

TNW used to sell what they called "blaster grade" ammo, this stuff is as bad as the Dominican stuff. Most had the Israeli Hebrew head stamp and was just pure junk, a friend had a couple grenade in his M2 and it wasn't pretty.

Maine Cartridge Co. also put out some .50 BMG that was trash also, I know Mark Serbu at one time had a warning about this ammo on his website. I know that it damaged a couple BFG's which needed some pretty good repairs.

As always, if you don't know where the ammo came from or are uncertain about it, don't shoot it.

I am a custom ammunition manufacturer. I just finished a 1000rd 50cal order. Half linked and have not linked.

If you are interested, and have something in mind that you would like to see built, please IM me. I can make it happen.

If things continue to porgress as they are, I will have a line of heavyweight solid brass match projos coming out in a month or two.

If you would like pics of the completed job I can provide them for you.
