Anyone know if Barrett 50 BMG ammo has a crimped primer?  Have a chance to pick up some empties at a good price and just wondering how much work it will be.

I am guessing they won't be crimped..Am I right on that???

Thanks...

I can tell you on Monday.  I'm going to an FCSA match in Raton, NM this weekend and we have a practical class with Barrett ammo being supplied by the match director as the only ammo you can shoot in the class.  I'll give it a look over and tell you what I find.

looks crimped to me, big ring all the way around it, with red sealant as well.

Ok, thanks.  That is what I needed to know.  Will have to swage them if I buy.

Thanks everyone.

What distance were you shooting, and what kind of rifle were you using to get "MOA of car door" accuracy with the Barrett ammo?

So far I have had a different experience with the Barrett 661 gr ball ammo.

I think I noted a touch of sarcasm in that post. I haven't heard of it shooting much better than 2 MOA, which at 1k yds is a car door.
