A buddy of mine is trying to find out the price of this weapon that is coming out, he said it was mentioned in the latest issue of SWAT as "coming soon".

Anyone have any info?

Since they just bought out Cobb Mfg., that's probably the design they'll be pushing.

The Cobb was originally supposed to be a semi-auto platform.  My guess is Bushmaster is going to make it work.

Talk to Bushmaster said the 50cal would be for sale End of JAN.  Price is between $5,000 and $4,800. They said you could get cheaper from the dealer.

My discussions with Bushmaster lead me to believe that it will be very similar to the current BA50 with a few "improvements". I was looking for additional magazines and the Bushmaster CS Rep. indicated to me that the new models magazines will work just fine in my Cobb and that only minor changes were made  to the design.

We will have to wait and see if this is the case when the rifle come available again.

I do not know what improvements they did but, as far as I know it is the same BA50.
When I talked to the Bushmaster rep he said it was only going to be in one configuration at first and more down the road. I think they will all have the rail on the hand guard(which is detachable if I remember right).

I hope they come out with a short version soon because I think that was going to be my next gun. The guys from Cobb are still involved with the company. I hope Bushmaster will be able to get the guns out faster and still keep the quality up.

I would be amazed if they were out by the end of january.

Called Bushmaster about a month ago. They said that they are taking orders now and will have the gun at Shot Show.  I hope they dont change much because I like my Cobb and would still like to be able to get parts and even another upper ie: 416,408,338 etc.  The pic I saw in an add in Guns & Weapons for M&P showed it as a bolt action still. Thats my 2 cents

I can't wait to hear the reports from SHOT on this...

I just talked to Larry Knesek at KGI he said that Bushmaster talked to them and they'll still offer the knesek package. He's getting his prices ready now but he already has a waiting list started. Bushmaster will have one of Larry's package deals on display and ship the first ones after SHOT

From the pics it looks exactly like what Cobb was making, I don't think they changed
a thing .

If you are referring to the photo on the Bushmaster website, I think that is a Cobb original. I may be wrong, but as I remember, that photo went up on their site almost immediately after the acquisition was announced. Based on that I doubt they had the time to show any of the changes if they were actually implemented.

I'm worried that they slipped in one of those nasty little corporate deals that will make it just slightly different and my Cobb will not interchange. IE: corporate greed.  Man I hope not!!!
