I am getting componets together to load the 690 grn bullets that I bought from widner's.  I am planning on using Hodgdon powder.  I will be using LC Brass.  The person I talked to at Hodgdon said the the loads they show on their website are max. loads for 650 grn at 248 grns of their powder and 750 grn amax at 250 grns.  For my 690's he suggested starting at 225 grns that would be a 10% reduction from max load.  Any comfirmation of this information and or help from you veterans at this would be much appreciated.  This will be my first time at trying this.  I am planning on CCI primers.
Thank You!

I did post this in the reloading forum as well, but wanted to see what help I could get here.

start there and work up.  each chamber can be different, so watch your pressure signs closely.  the 50 is no 30-06 on steroids, it really is a different animal and needs serious respect.
