So I need a scope for a Barrett 82CQ.  I am looking at the Nightforce NXS 5.5-22 x 56.  Will this optic work properly for the weapon?  Will this have the adjustment range needed?  I seem to recall Barrett specifying for 60 inches of adjustment at 100 yards.  Am I in line?  Also, I looked at IOR rings.  Assuming proper hight (if this is possible), are these adequate?

All help is appreciated!

The NXS scope that you are thinking of getting has 100 MOA (more than 100 inches at 100 yards) of Elevation adjustment.

On my Barret M99 with Barrett adjustable's and a 5.5-22x56mm NXS.  My 100 yard zero is right at ~24 MOA with (If I remember right) almost 20 MOA cant adjusted into the rings. This should allow me to dial out to ~1900 yards.  The newer m82's have a 20MOA base built into the rail already.

Thanks for the reply.  Not much worse than making the wrong decision on a purchase!

I think that scope/ring combo will do everything you want it to.
