So I need a scope for a Barrett 82CQ. I am looking at the Nightforce NXS 5.5-22 x 56. Will this optic work properly for the weapon? Will this have the adjustment range needed? I seem to recall Barrett specifying for 60 inches of adjustment at 100 yards. Am I in line? Also, I looked at IOR rings. Assuming proper hight (if this is possible), are these adequate? All help is appreciated! |

The NXS scope that you are thinking of getting has 100 MOA (more than 100 inches at 100 yards) of Elevation adjustment. On my Barret M99 with Barrett adjustable's and a 5.5-22x56mm NXS. My 100 yard zero is right at ~24 MOA with (If I remember right) almost 20 MOA cant adjusted into the rings. This should allow me to dial out to ~1900 yards. The newer m82's have a 20MOA base built into the rail already. |
