[ARCHIVED THREAD] - AR-50 Grip Replacement

Has anyone here with an AR-50 replaced the grip with something better? The standard M-16 grip is not going to cut it for me. It looks like any existing replacements will need to be modified and I would like to hear your solutions you may have come up with.

I used the old grip and made a new one out of it. I used bondo and some wrinkle finish paint. The grip was way to small for my hands.

hi,this is my first reply here,ERGO used my ar50 to use as a pattern rifle for the palm swell grips,i like it alot,and if you call them i think they will be able to help,i dont know how to use this link thing for pics of mine,just let them know robert in edgewood said to call!!!!!!!!

Thanks. I saw a clip on grip for the A2 style grip also. Just have to track it down. I like the idea of creating a personalised grip.

Dremel+cheap AR grip+patience and a steady hand

The corner at the front of the grip simply needs a little more rounding. Be patient and test fit often and it is a cinch.

That's badass! I have the same style grip (just not the one shown above) on my AK's and AR's and I'd like to maintain that on the AR-50 also. Will have to buy a couple and get crazy with the Dremel.

hi,thats how mine looks,if i could figure out here how to put my pics on, i removed all of that piece sticking into the grip so that it is only a 3/4 inch out for a bag hook!!
