[ARCHIVED THREAD] - Barrett XM500

Ran a search and came up empty. Just curious if anyone has had a chance to see or shoot one of these first hand. I'm sure it's going to be out of the ballpark in price, but it looks to fit all my desires. Semi-auto, short/light, bullpup, sexy, etc. Any thoughts on this fine looking rifle?hy.gif

hello. dont know much about the barrett 20mm, but am sure it will exceed 10,000.
have you looked at anzio works 20mm bolt action clip fed gun? very cool! comes apart to fit in a small case. price is around 6800.00. kirk

If I'm not mistaken isn't the Barrett XM500 12.7 X 99mm ? I found a few things about them but nothing as of price.

The 500 was/is a gas operated .50
They were having major cycling problems with it when I left there. The pics seen on the web are of the very first rifle.

Kirkinwise- Yes, I've looked at Anzio's products. I like the looks of the rifle you mentioned. I'm just looking at all the options.

50cal- Thanks for the insight. This is good to know. I guess I'll be looking for another model. It is a great looking gun, if nothing else.
