| Just bought a ar-50 what bipod or monopod should I put on the gun? |
|
i use harris stuff for all my rifles except the windrunner. it came with a tough bipod from the factory. i like it plenty. the harris should work, but i hear varying reports on it depending on how hard you use it. GG&G has a nice one, but the price is high. you might try the prince bipod that armalite offers. accushot makes a monopod you might like as well. i like the ones i've used in the past. |
Did the concussion from the brake make your nose bleed? Did it part your hair? Did it make your vision go all blurry? What about impotence? I have a friend who just picked up an AR-50 and we plan to shoot it soon. A look at the muzzle brake (which looks very efficient) suggests a fair amount of 'backblast' for observers (and, perhaps, the shooter as well)... Any comments or advice...? Forrest |
Did it at least draw BLOOD?....Please say it at least drew blood, it's how you know you've been officially innitiated into the 50 club. .....Seriously though....the first shot I took with my Grizzly the blast threw me off ballance on my stool causing the rifle to jump off the bipod and onto MY FINGER......giving me a nice little gash. |

The AR-50 is almost a recoiless weapon when compared to any lightweight hunting rifle or 12 gauge shotgun. Noise is all you should expect. Stand directly behind the shooter and the blast is no problem. Just make sure no one else is on the benches beside you. +1 for the Prince, it is very sturdy. |
