| Where did you get the brake from? I have the same set up less the brake. I put a limbsaver recoil pad on mine it works great! It is a prefit one for the ruger m77 wood stock. That was the closest match. I had to drill out the the holes to fit the bolts for the A2 buttstock. |
I ordered it straight from Armalite.. took like 8 something weeks, but it's on finally... will post a range report tomorrow |

Well, after a few rounds on it this weekend, its definately a much tamer beast. I'd say toned down from a rough 12ga to about like a medium-sized deer rifle in something magnum... still has a bark and a little bite, but not something that you want to put up after 3 shots. Also, that shark brake sucked... some people dislike the Armalite brake because of the gases directed at the shooter... I can say both shooting and spotting, it's no where near as violent as before. There's a much wider "cone" behind the muzzle where the blast isn't felt as harshly as with the old brake. |
