![]() my wife rarely is able to muster the "F" word... when i bought that rifle and told her how much it was, even though it was a genuine bargain, her words were exaclty: "it better fuckin' shoot..." lol... it sounded just like some old geezer at the range... hilarious. i thought i deviated my septum, since i've done that several times in my life, it seems like that is the weak link on the bridge of my nose, but it seems to be fine. oh, and for the record - i kept shooting afterward!!! |

haven't shot the others to compare, but if you can picture it's design and then add in the fact that the stock stop slide button wasn't in place, the whole stock folded up and the entire rest of the rifle shot backwards into my head... kind of get the picture? i guarantee you it'll never happen again. |
these three were way below that... hell you could pull a thumbnail across the flash hole. granted the primers are semi-rounded, but they were way too deep. i've only owned a 50 for a short time, but it's becoming obvious that building your own ammo is the only way to shoot precision with one of these. i wanted to build up a pile of brass while doing some shooting, but i may skip it and buy some new brass. i called and talked with Bill Ritchie of EDM Arms and he told me the AMAX's and 217gr of H50 will do the trick nicely in my windrunner. Stewart Wilson from shooterready.com said the same thing. got a kepplinger set trigger on the way for it and man am i excited. i can't believe i have waited so long to enjoy this caliber. the 50 seems to be a different animal, but an animal i like!
