| Anyone own or had experience with the Vulcan/Hesse 50? I have not seen any posts about these particular rifles. Thanks for the input. |
| Don't want to sound stupidh.gif, but why such a bad rap? I don't own one and have never shot one, just curious. |
A very good friend of mine bought a Hesse (I tried to talk him out of it). His very first trip to the range and his very first shot, the bolt handle sheered off. He had the rifle repaired, but has never fired it again. The fit/finish/assembly on his rifle is hideous. As others have said.......run far away! |

To the best of my knowledge, the Fifty Caliber Shooters Assn. does not allow the hesse\vulcan at its matches. I would suggest joining the fcsa, so much info for $40 a year. Great advice from the true experts. I saved a lot more money than the membership fee by using the info on the members only forums. Its the arfcom of the FIFTY world. (only a bit more serious-though it can be very entertaing, too!) |

How are Vulcan and Hesse related. Forgive my stupidity. I just popped in here to ask the same question concerning a Vulcan .50 and I didn't see anything about a Hesse affiliation on there website. I was just looking at the V50SS here. |
Well that ceratainly sucks. The Vulcan looks pretty good on there website. But like so many other things, it sucks in real life. The price was right too. I found them for sale in one of my gun fliers for $1100.00. |
I found that out the hard way! They were at one of the local shows and their prices were pretty good on their MAC 11 clones. I'd never heard of vulcan and decided to try them out. I had just finished the transaction when I notided the name tag on the guy I was dealing with had the last name Hesse. Then I recognized their crappy looking AR's. I almost asked for a refund. I gotta admit that the mac 11 clone has been a pretty good gun. eta I wouldnt consider buying one of their 50's |
