thinking about picking up a 17 in the coming year, i've heard rumors about a possible MK20 commercial release, is there any truth to this? if so i'd much rather wait for the MK20, but if its just unicorn tears i wont sit and wait

Unless you've heard something new I wouldn't hold my breath. They've been talking about releasing the Mk20 for years now. One day they might, until then I'd just pick up the 17.

I held the CSR20 at Shot 2015, and I've given up. Shopping for a regular 17 now. Don't hold your breath.

At the 2016 NRA show, when I asked a FN booth guy about it, he looked at me as if I was crazy. I wouldn't wait on it. Just buy the 20in barrel and build one as you like.

As others have said, don't hold your breath. Build one out the way you desire it to be, kind of what I did.

This isn't super helpful, but I know a SCAR custom shop is working on a SCAR 20 upper. No idea where it is in the development phase.

To track them down, look for an article on the FN SCAR shoot this year and they should be listed somewhere in there.

I just want the MK20 stock for my 17 but FN said they would release one and have not done it yet. It will probably be released after SHOT 2020 along with the Glock carbine.

Feels like déjà vu having posted similar press releases this time of year, for the past several years... Hopefully this time FN will finally deliver.
