| I don't know if it's just an illusion, but it seems like the rail is significantly higher vs. the bore than when compared to the AR platform. Is it just me, or is that so? |
| Based on my best estimate, which could be off, it's about an inch higher than the AR. Not a tremendous amount of difference down range, depending on zero, but definitely different at certain ranges. Biggest differences are at less than 25 yards. That additional inch can cause problems if you don't constantly keep it mind. |

slightly off topic where to get that redimag for the scar?! I think you would have to pay to have it modified. He mentioned something about having it cut down and re-welded if I remember correctly. i wonder how much work is needed...I can do cutting and welding no issue... |

Saw this video the other day and thought I would post it for anyone else curious. Steve mentions why he chose the Aimpoint mount he chose (I think it was the HK style Larue mount). Hey that's me he's talking about. My redi mag mod is looking good! |

Sorry guy's. I can tell you how to do it. You need to drill out the spot welds that hold the redi mag to the magwell strap, shave down the redi mag to match the profile of your mag well, add a strap of steel to the magwell strap that wraps in front of the finger/trigger area. Line it all up then spot weld. I did it for fun. I'd have to charge $250 to make it worth my time.

I never had a machine shop class or know anyone who does any of that, so it's always interesting to see some of the skills that people on here have. It's cool. |

I actually used some left over trunk pan scraps from my 67 Camaro. Nothing special, It just has to be trimmed, mated up, welded, de burred and cleaned up.
I can do them for $250 or do yours/used/owner supplied for $150 + shipping. Thanks. It was an idea I thought I could pull off and it worked. |
