Many of you may have read my thread a few months back detailing how I modded my SCAR stock to accept QD mounts:

FN FORUM LINK

Well now there is a company making a mount that would work very well out of the box for anyone wanting a clean QD socket on thier SCAR stock.  Check out these guys:
http://www.impactweaponscomponents.com/

And the thread on AR15.com for the install:

I didn't see anything for the SCAR on that site.....its kind of hard to navigate...

or maybe I'm just not seeing which of their other mounts would work for the SCAR?

thanks

Which mount in particular are you referring to?

Sorry for the confusion guys.  I am referring to this mount:

Simply drill a 1/2"  hole in your SCAR stock and install.

I saw your post - great job.

If I can sell my 1911 I plan to get a SCAR. I don't have the nerve to drill a hole in a SCAR, though. But, I like that much better than running a sling through the built in slot.

Thanks for posting this.  I'm a little apprehensive about drilling into the stock, but that's about the cleanest way I've seen to get a QD.  That company also makes a solution for adding a QD to MOE stocks that I'm going to check out.  It might be adaptable to the SCAR?
