I picked up another FS2000 yesterday, used 006xxx serial number. I took it to the range today to test it out with different types of ammo. I am planning on getting a Trijicon Tripower for this one, so today I was just shooting with iron sights. Well, I fired several mags with several different types of ammo. The rifle has the firing pin spring and the lighter firing pin, but I wanted to check it out anyway. I was looking for issues with slam fires or light strikes. The rifle ate a couple of mags each of Remington UMC, Winchester q3131a and M855 without issue. It also took a mag of Hornady TAP 75 gr. ammo. No FTF/FTE, light strikes or slam fires. The issue that I had was that about half way through my shooting, the front sight fell completely off the gun. The screw/nut holding it on must have worked themselves loose and plop, right off the gun! I was wondering why my groups seemed to be stringing out! ![]() Anyways, I borrowed an allen wrench from the range master and put the sight back on. Fortunately the little nut fell right on the bench. Without that I would have been boned. Like I said, I'm going to get a Tripower for this gun, so it's not a big issue for me, but it was a surprise. The moral of the story is, ALWAYS TEST FIRE YOUR GUNS!!!!

that's good you were at a table.
My latest fs2000 came to me with the front sight loose on the weapon, took it out of the box at my ffl and the nut, washer, screw and sideplate separated from the sight as it fell off.. Took me about an hour on all fours to find all the pieces |

That is odd, mine came off to!! Oh wait, I took it off
As back up they are better than nothing but lets get real we all act like when our main sire (EOTech553 in my case) goes down we will be in a jungle or somewhere else. If I was taking this to a dangerous situation I would stick a set of Magpul Buis sites in my pocket. They weigh nothing and go on easy enough if required. Besides the front site interfered with my laser. I have to admit I have had similar failures with a new gun but have always considered them my failures for not checking every part of the gun before firing. Interesting SN range. I owned #629X but sold it after I bought a much later one with a tri-rail. 629X had lite strike problems but was easily fixed with cutting one ring of the FP spring off Wulfmann |

First stage, I go to turn on my EOTech and the damn thing won't come on. I wound up having to shoot the whole match with my backup iron sights. |

My second hand FS2000 didn't come with a front backup sight...or rear!! I wonder why the previous owner took the rear off?? Oh, well...I corrected the problem.

I just believe one can have much better ones than the standard backups on the FS2K Wulfmann |
