| I want to replace the stock one with the correct military one. |

Quoted:
It should. It will have a small bottle of Rocksett and I believe the torque setting will be in the 30ftlb range. It does not need to be timed so it won't have any of the spacer washers, crush washers, peel washers, etc. Stephen Thanks for all your help. I got the AR15 thread one i hope thats right

What's the procedure for swapping flash suppressors on the SCAR 16? Any specific torque or use of washers? Is the thread pitch the same as the AR15 (1/2"-28)? AMU said something like not torquing beyond 5-10 ft-lb to prevent the chance of deforming the muzzle. Is the AAC 18T similar to the Vortex where you can just hand tighten it and let it tighten itself when shooting? Also, will there be a difference in felt recoil/muzzle climb between the stock compensator and the AAC 18T? |

Just put a few drops of the provided Rocksett on the threads and tighten it down. I called AAC about the torque value and they said just tighten it on there. No exact value is necessary because it won't be coming off anytime soon with the Rocksett. And I could be crazy but I noticed a little more muzzle rise with the AAC installed as compared to the stock PWS brake. |
