I mentioned my custom flash hider in another thread and have received several questions about it so here is the info with of course, pics. I started with the OE P90 flash hider from CMMG which threads directly onto the LH barrel threads. I then turned it down to just the  break portion, reamed it to the proper ID, and threaded it 1/2x28 to thread onto the adapter I got with the SBR. I did have to fine tune the index so that it would line up correctly without using crush washers but this was easily done by hand with a file and then blued. The result is being able to have the OE P90 look and still be able to attach a can without having to disassemble the barrel/receiver. This also reduces OAL by almost an inch over an A2 flash hider.

That is really a good idea.
I always wondered how to swap to my suppressor mount and the factory flash hider.

Very nice!!!

I used a lathe to cut and thread, then followed it with a tap. I indexed it by running it across a file until everything lined up

The way I filled out the form one utilized the mfr info already engraved on the receiver from the factory. We do everyone's sbrs this way at the shop to keep from having to do the engraving step. ATF says its a go as long as paperwork matches receiver

Got any reference to this? I was told this was a no go because they are not the mfg of the title 2 weapon. I'd love to avoid getting mine engraved.

I have a letter from the ATF on file at the shop. I'll scan and post it up here when I get back from vacation next week.

I had the factory 1:9 barrel done by hi desert dog.
