I own an FS2000 standard and have removed the factory optics trplacing them with an Eotech XPS and a 3x magnifier.  There is a little room left and I was wondering if its enough for a fold down BUIS set?  One thing I learned in Iraq, batery only baaaaaaaaad   lol

There isn't enough room on the tactical, and IIRC the standard has less rail space. I am sure you can find some compact models to fit, especially ones that don't flip up in the front, but expect to be counting rail slots to make sure you have room.

I had a 512 with a LaRue PoBoy mag behind it on the tactical. Still had room for Yankee Hill flip sights with the front folded forward. The YHM rear flip takes up the least amount of rail space of any BUIS I could find.

Your mileage may vary with the standard.

Not sure if this is possible onthe standard, but on my tactical model, I drilled the aperture on the factory iron sight blade and have quite pleased.

The increased size made it functional in a backup capacity.

The tiny match size aperture had always been a headscratcher for me on a "fighting" rifle.
