No, not like the FAL. The FAL's receiver is the "gun" where the actual upper receiver, not the receiver, is numbered on the SCAR. Just to clarify, by receiver, I mean the portion of the firearm which accepts the ammunition source.

That's interesting, never thought ofit that way.  Is it that way with all semi-auto firearms?

Barrels are easily changed. Front sight is mounted on barrel & adjusts for both windage/elevation - meaning barrels can be pre-zeroed.

Lowers can now be swapped out for ones using alternate mags, etc.

Sounds better, not worse, to me.

thats bad because if the military or contractors want to sell the FA uppers they cant
