I should have my FS2000 next week and need to decide on an optic. After the process of elimination I have it narrowed down to the following two:

-Leupold Mark 4 CQ/T

or

-Trijicon 4x Acog

I ruled out an Eotech b/c I already have one and don't care for Aimpoints. I am open to other suggestions as well

What optic is best for you depends on what range you intend to use the rifle for and how you intend to use the rifle...

If you want to do closer/CQB stuff, the EOTech (which you nixed) is the way to go.

If you want to do longer distance stuff, ACOG is the way to go.

And if you want something that can do both, you'll have to compromise a little in order to get the flexibility.  The Leupold Mk 4 CQ/T is versatile enough to handle both but you may notice the trade-offs.

-If possible, before you buy anything, try to look through the optics that are at the store, gun show, or belong to friends.  -You'll save a lot of money if you do your legwork and get hands-on experience with the optics you are considering.

I have many optical options and have found that the Leupold CQT is the best choise for this system.  Excellent 1x3 power optic design, clear lenses with the advantage of the battery power black / yellow donut ring. fitted mine with the ARMS/Leupold QR two lever mount which is a dead ringer over the Eotech and more expensive TA31.  The scope really inhances the FS 2000 overall exterior looks and is a tough scope indeed. The 1x power option gives you easy close in use and the 3x power provides enough magnification for realistic shots in the 300m range.  Power supply is a simple AAA Duracell and your are ready for enything.

I ended up going with a 4x32 ACOG with red chevron and I am LOVING this set up

ELF, let's see some pics with the leupold on it. I wondered how that would look.

I chose the Eotech and aimpoint 3x with samson quick-flip, works great for practical matches since you can flip the magnifier out of the way and use the eotech to maximum advantage.

Looks something like this...

I have read on multiple occasions that FN has no intentions of ever releasing the original F2000 sight in the US, not even to LE. I also have read in more than one place that the sight costs $4000 where available. I have also read that the F2000 sight will not actually fit on the civilian version the FS2000. That the rails are actually different sizes. Take it for what its worth

There are confirmed reports that magazineparts.com, the maker of many PS90 accessories has a project on the table to replicate a sight that will be marketed for the FS2000 but I have not seen any updates as far as when it will hit the market

Congrats on the ACOG!  I was sweating there when you said you were going for the CQ/T.   second worst optic I ever had.  There vari x 3 line with the red circle dot seems to work very well.
