I picked up a Colt 3 round burst FCG that I was going to convert over to a select fire kit for a Reg Lightning Link.  For some reason it won't fit in my DPMS (or Bushmaster) lower.  It seems like it's oversized enough that the pin holes don't line up.   I've got a RR M16, but haven't put the Colt kit into it to see if it fits.

I'd like to set up the DPMS lower with a slect fire for a LL.

My question is:  Are Colt M16 FCG a different size than "clones'?  Even the selector switch is so tight it won't turn, before it is secured.

I can't figure any other reason why the setup won't drop into the lower.

Also, who has a good price on an M16 non-Colt FCG?  Brownell's is out

Colt is .172" and the clones are .156"

Parts from Bushmaster are fine.

Colt M16 parts are the same as any std. lower semi or full auto, you need small pin.

Some people drill out the fire control so they can use thier RDIAS in a new production Colt Semi Auto with the larger non std. pins.

Colt machineguns or Colt machinegun parts from the factory do not have larger sized pins.
