1.  I read in the Archives that a RLL needs a 20" barrel to run right.  I read that in only one post and was wondering if that is truely the case.  I don't own a 20" barrel and have no intention of running the LL with anything over 14.5".  Will the RLL run reliably is sub 16" barrels?

2.  I have multiple uppers (6.8SPC and .223) and if I use the same lower and carrier (just swapping upper and bolt) will I still need to time the RLL for each upper?

I used to have a RLL.  I had mine set up with an 11.5" barrel.  Ran great, no problems at all.  I used a JT Distributing barrel, chambered in 5.56.  I had a standard M4 stock with a H buffer.

As far as timming your upper..... some upper reciever rear lugs need to be filed down so the link can fit.  Not a big deal.

Thanks.

I thought that post I read was BS about short barrels.
