Any of you guys ever SBS a Mossberg 930 or other Semi shotgun (not Saiga) ? Didn't see really any when I searched mostly pumps. Am I missing something as to why more people don't do them? Thanks

unlike a Pump or break open action shotgun, the semi-auto use a gas system to cycle.  That would be a limiting factor if you are going shorter than where the gas hole is drilled for the system to function...

ok wasn't going any shorter than the mag tube, I think on my 11-87 the gas port is about half way up the tube. Looking at like a 5 shot setup.  thanks

I have the 14 inch Benelli M4 Entry SBS.  There are a few factory guns and otherwise out there that are semi auto.

I have looked into a Mossberg 930 SBS. There wa s company that did them but they stopped producing them years ago. There is a lot of info out there on how to get a 930 to run. It would be a lot of trial and error. Beneli makes a SBS as seen above.

I have a Model 11 with a 13" barrel. Model 11s/Auto5s/Savage 720s are long recoil operated so no screwing with the gas port to get it to run right.

I have a 10'' M1 super 90 and 14'' 1100. Just picked up a Vepr 12 on the cheap thinking about doing it.

14" Benelli M1 Entry here. Love it. I installed a SureCycle SS action spring tube and it cycles everything, even that crap Winchester birdshot. My next SBS will probably be a VEPR-12 or M-4 Entry, but I'm not big into shotguns, so a SCAR 17 CQC is inbound first!

I formed 1 a Mossberg 930 and cut to 14". Mine runs Federal bird shot just fine.

That is good to know.  Did you have to open the gas ports?  Interesting......

I did not open the ports but I started with the breacher barrel so the ports were sized for roughly a 15.5" barrel when you don't count the standoff device.
The cheap 3 dram federal works great, I haven't tried anything lighter since the 3 dram is the lightest my 12" Saiga works with.
