Some of you may remember my earlier post about my 1916 British C&R Vickers that was still in ATF jail.  It is now out and operational.  I made a small video (my first edited one) demonstrating a 7.62x54r conversion kit.  Enjoy!

No.  This is a Stembridge gun purchased by them in the 1920's.  It is original British issue.  Here's a pic of the 1934 registration:

AWESOME!!

The 54r conversion must save a ton of cash, too.

I've been thinking of picking up a 1910 Maxim.  I assume yours will be a side plate gun?

Sort of.  It is from a converted MG08 plate.  From what I understand, there are only about a half dozen real Russian 1910s in the registry.

That is really cool! What is with the blanket tied on the water cooler?

It is a British military item made of canvas with an insulating material on the inside (asbestos?).  When the gun is fired, the jacket becomes quite hot, making it difficult to move,  This allows the gun to be cradled in the arms and moved between firing positions without being burned.  The insulator has also been made with other indigenous materials such as bamboo sticks woven together.
