Someone (individual or FFL) who knows about guns really needs to be at EVERY one of these places. Not that it would help you that much though. The people who are getting rid of these things want them out of the house and out of their care most times. Someone who would have a STG44 probably is fairly elderly and doesn't care about making much money, though there would probably be more interest if they knew what it was worth. For a buyer, it does you no good though...you can't take immediate possession of it. The only thing you could do is attempt to save it from the pile by telling them its worth a fortune and maybe asking to make an offer on it (assuming its registered). |

Couldn't transfer legally if a registered weapon that day, and most that have something like that and don't know what it is wouldn't want to wait for paper work. |

That is assuming that they had any paperwork and if they did, that it is in their name and not some other dead relative. If it is unregistered or not registered to them then your "eform" will do nothing but bring ATFE down on the owner to confiscate the weapon leaving you to try and get your "x thousand" dollars back. If it were registered to them and you are not an FFL/SOT, you couldn't file an eform 4 anyway. |
