If this is the wrong forum please move it Mods. I didn't see a belt-fed forum and this seemed appropriate.
I recently obtained a bunch of .308 links. I don't have a belt fed and am looking to get rid of them. Are these things reusable or are they trash once they've been fired once? |

They're re-usable if not crushed or rusted. They're also so common it's often easier to sell it as scrap steel if you don't happen to have a buyer looking around for some at the exact moment you want to sell them. |

I wasn't really looking to sell as much as I was wondering if I should just trash them or not. I have 3 gallon ziploc bags full. Based on the amount of brass I'm guessing it's in the 1700 range. Didn't want to hold onto it if it was worthless. |

They have value as long as they are still in good condition. Used M13 links are worth roughly $15 to 20 per thousand.
If you have 1700 of them you have between 30 and 40 bucks. The issue you are going to have is most people who are buying links are not buying them in that small a quantity. Figure selling 1700 links would be like trying to sell a qty of "one" GI mag on the EE. Most people just are not going to bother unless it is priced well. Your best bet would be to put them up on Sturm as it get the most traffic for that type of item in my educated guess. Put them up for as ~1500 links for $30 shipped and send them in a flat rate box and you may be able to move them. Here would be your competition at $17.50 per K but he does not including shipping. http://www.sturmgewehr.com/webBBS/nfa4sale.cgi?read=158471 |

They wouldn't all fit in the $12 flat rate box so it would require two. Not worth the time or the money. |
