A local dealer had a nice M11/9 that I ended up getting over the weekend. As I wait for the paperwork to process I am going to start picking up accessories. The gun only came with 3 Zytel magazines, anyone know where to get more magazines at. Should I get more Zytel's or look into steel ones? How well do MAC 11's hold up to heavy use. I know the sheet metal is thinner than MAC 10's, is this a problem. Any high round count MAC 11's out there?

Whatever you do, make sure you install a fresh new buffer before you fire a single shot from your new gun.

The novelty of a near-uncontrollable 1200rpm subgun is likely to wear off quickly. Call Richard Lage at Lage Manufacturing and order one of his MAX-11 slowfire uppers... it will turn your bullet hose into an UZI-beater.

For magazines, you can still get Zytels if you shop around, but I much prefer the more robust steel Recon Ordnance magazines. You can get them here amongst other places. They may need some tweaking.

There is a rich vein of info for you to tap into over at UZItalk.

It's a M11/9 not a Mac 11.

Right - All ways properly identify that bastard as an M11/9

A real M11 uses 380 acp.

Even some of the M11/9's were refitted with slow fire kits that shot 380acp.

Thanks for the help. I am going to give some of the metal magazines a go and see how they work.
