Where are the most knowledgeable forums on full auto weapons?
Anyone have a site they'd recommend?

I like the MachineGunBoards.com site. Subguns was the one I was trying to remember the name of.

Thanks.

Or right here. I've gotten a ton of good info off this section of the website. I've yet to have an answer that someone here couldn't answer.

Sturm has some knowledgeable folk, but Buddy's "rules" are onerous.

In my opinion the five best sites for full auto knowlege are in no particular order.

1. Subguns.com NFA forum and NFA Forum Archive
2. The NFA Armory sections of this site
3. HKPro.com (especially if dealing with HK variant firearms)
4. Uzitalk.com (for Uzi's specifically, MAC variants, as well as a few other dedicated forums to specific guns like the FNC and AC556 forum)  However some of the dedicated none Uzi or MAC forums are not really very active.
5.  Sturmgewehr.com  - onerous posting rules but Bob Naess (BRMCII) who is one of the most knowledgeable folks on the internet on machineguns (especially odd exotics) is a regular poster on sturm.  Sturm is also the one of the two best places for WTB/WTF information along with subguns.

Honerable mentions to Rob Silvers Silencer Talk site for only silencer specific information as well as Silencer Research's site but it is pay for access only.

With the limited free time I have I probably spend most of my time helping people in the armory forums here and subguns NFA forum is my homepage because I really like how fast it loads since it is pretty much a text only bulletin board with no flash, java, or complex coding.

Hope this helps.

full-auto.com

Now defunct I believe.  I ended up spending most of my time in the BOTD section

Good times

Ask away. As mentioned, you'll probably find your answer at any of the sites, but there are sites that are better for specific weapon platforms.

FWIW, a few months of reading on here (as well as occasionally browsing through the archives to read) has been more information than I ever thought I'd read.  The knowledge base is pretty vast.  If you're serious about learning, definitely pony up the $24 for a year's membership to support the site.  You'd be surprised how much you can learn from the archives.  There's a good chance any question you have has been discussed at least once since this site opened.

Uzitalk.com for most Subgun related stuff. Some good NFA general stuff without the "ARMCHAIR KNOW IT ALLS"  Plus theres a fair number of SOTs that are good people.

1919a4.com for anything 1919 related as well as the MG42/34 and M2hb.

Silencertalk.com is good for info on cans but it may not be somthing you want to visit at work, sometimes it is rather crude.

FWIW, since I don't "do" HKs or beltfeds ....

I live here, as a moderator. I spend almost as much time on subguns.com, and sturm is a close third ....I also surf uzitalk regularly. Beyond that, I doubt I visit the other sites even once a month. They are great for fans of a certain type or make, but they do not attract the general audience of arfkom or uzitalk (for tech info), or subguns and sturm (for both tech info and sheer volume of sales listings).

I'd rather you hang here, since I like surrounding myself with folks I can learn from, and this is a very knowledgable crowd....

I registered for MachineGunBoards twice and it's a bust. Why have a board if you ignore their emails and registration attempts?
Based on my experience, don't waste your time there trying.

Onward to subguns for me.
