I have an almost new Ruger Mark III target (400 rds).  I sent it to adco to cut off 1" and thread it.  So it is a a 4" or so factory bull barrel.  I had trouble at the range yesterday shooting mini-mags after ~ 20rds.  Empty would eject, fresh cartridge would feed, but hammer would not fall.  This would happen regularly (every 2 or 3 shots).  Weird (and unsafe) conditions are occuring like hammer doesnt fall then after some "jiggling" hammer falls (with trigger pressure, not on its own).  I was thinking dirty gun, so I took it home and detailed stripped it cleaned it good even though it wasnt that dirty at all.  I went back to the range today and same thing after ~20rds. I then took off the suppressor and it shot 60 rounds flawlessly.  I am leaning towards the extra mass of the suppressor afffecting the trigger/hammer reset.  I am no expert at all on this pistol so any opinions are welcome.

Thanks!

clean it and try different ammo.

Try seeing if a firmer grip helps. Sometimes too light of pressure on gun can absorb alot of the recoil and can cause cycling malfunctions with .22s.

I am leaning towards this aspect of it...but...I actually videoed my self with my iphone before I knew the malfunctions were happening.  The gun does not move at all in my grip.

It took the gun back to the range today and shot:

Wolf match
RWS match
Rem Subs
Rem Shurshots

all ran 100% (had 2 shurshot duds)

All of these loads are milder than the minimag. I wonder if the hotter minimag coupled with the backpressure of the silencer caused the problem. It was like the hammer reset too far back with my minimag failures (not sure if that is possible), because usually I could get the trigger to pull and hammer to drop after slapping on the gun a bit.
