From the factory, what were the fire control options for the AC556 before may 19?

The safety is in front of the trigger guard, as it is with a Mini-14.
The selector is on the right-rear of the receiver's "heel", and is a 3 position type. The vertical position is for "semi auto", the middle position is for "3 shot burst", and the horizontal position is for "full auto". There is a spring-loaded button on the tip of the selector, which must be depressed when changing fire control positions. |
