I have a Bushmaster Carbon 15 Pistol; I want to add a stock and register as a SBR. By what I have read I can do this, although a bit confusing. Upon registering do I have to engrave my info on the reciever? |

Thanks for the advise.. As for the bushmaster markings on the left side reciever, do they have to be milled down, so there is only 1 mfr & address on the reciever? No! It is against federal law to remove any markings on a firearm. Bushmaster is the manufacturer of the host firearm; you are the maker of record for the SBR. It must have both sets of markings to meet legal requirements. The only exception is factory SBRs –– guns which are registered as NFA before they leave the factory. |
