I have been wanting to put my YHM .223 Phantom suppressor on my ac-556 for a very long time.   We were supposed to be having a silencer only shoot and I had an upper for my M11 (for my SWR Trident) but not for my ac-556 so I didn't think I was going to be able to shoot it.  I told my local dealer ([email protected]) to make me an adapter for the 9/16 thread pitch so I could shoot my Ruger with my phantom.  He called me a week before and told me that he had talked YHM into making me a custom flash hider to mount my can to my Ruger without any adapters.

They are up and coming - some people look down on them, but I like them for the $

That's an odd combination of thread size and caliber! Glad they took care of you. It probably wasn't too much trouble because the only difference between the .223 and 308 mount is the flash hider length. They probably had the dimensions already dialed into the mill.

how's the gas with the can on?

when I've got my suppressor screwed on my SBR it spits pretty bad
my 16" mini is bad, but not as bad as the SBR.

what's it like running FA?

Gas isn't that bad, nothing like on an ak or something.   I didn't really notice it much worse than an M16.

I could only get 5-6 rounds off in FA before it stove piped.  I am ordering an adjustable gas block to fix that problem.

wonder if the longer barrel helps "that much" more....
my SBR spits bad.  and my can reflexes back like 2" so lots of expansion room.

I have two YHM cans and they perform just as well as the more expensive ones.  Cool concept on the Ruger.
