Can the Full Size Uzi recoil spring assembly be disaasembled, or is it not meant to be taken apart?

I can't figure out how to remove the spring and buffer pad from the guide rod.

Thank You, I was afraid of that.

I see springs and buffer pads sold seperately but I guess I should just buy the entire assembly for spares.
