I guess I have not kept up on the latest for a while and I haven't done a transfer in a while but I just did one that made my head spin twice. The local PD took less than an hour to sign off my paperwork. I sent in the paperwork to BATFE on the 15th of last month, got it back on the 5th. It was processed/approved in a little over a week wih the other two being the mailing time to and back. Even when I was a dealer it took longer than this on most occasions. I did cheat and send a money order rather than a personal check to eliminate clearing delay. Heck, makes me want to go buy some more toys if it's going to be this quick and easy.
