my brother "lives in flordia" wants to make his 94 a sbr . it has no collasible stock either. will any hk collasible stock work ? and has anyone used the ace folder setup? also who do yall reccommend cutting the bbl? ETA a new question:..he has no problem selling it for a few grand "it is a real hk" and buying a vector or what not in a pistol and then registering it as a sbr .would you reccomend this instead? not only as a cheaper alternative but to keep the hk in origional condition especially since it is mint and nib and a hk collector that works with him wants it ? what mfg do you reccomend for this if so? |

It will be easier/cheaper to just have a MP5 barrel installed than to do a proper cutdown of an existing 94 barrel. Your friend could easily wait a year to get a proper HK smith to do a barrel cutdown or swap. Buttstocks made for MP5s should fit ok. Vector Arms, Bobcat Weapons and the cloners will sell you a factory Short Rifle so no real need to form 1 a pistol. |
| sounds good i will tell him to get the vector then . he was going to go this route since his friend wants it and is willing to pay quite a bit of $$ for it. he was going to get the pistol so he could play with it while his form 1 clears. thanks for the help david! |
he went that route yesterday,he called and told me he sold the hk for $2900 bought a vector 9mm pistol and as soon as he gets it it is going on a form 1. he also bought 7 cases of ammo and 12 mags...he has the bug i belive now if i can talk him into making it a sd |

he won it about 20 years ago at a gun show ...i think he had to pay a 20 transfer fee...the guy he sold it to is a close friend of the family and collects hk's. it was nib and if he sbr'd it and did all the other including engraving the reciver dont you think it would kill the value |
