40mm chalk / M781 > Destructive Devices (DD)

I'm currently waiting on a Form 4.
I thought I'd start looking for ammo, components, and M203 related bits while I wait.

Does anyone have a lead on 40mm chalk rounds?
It seems like it was easy to get at ~$4/ea around 6 months ago, but right now I can only find it at TXMGO.

Did I miss the boat, or is there somewhere else I should be looking?

IIRC there was speculation the ATF was going to re-classify them as explosives and everyone panic bought them all... now they are like .22lr after sandy

It wasn't speculation, it was panic based on a post of some illegally diverted rounds getting sold and then forfeited to the ATF IIRC. Someone added 2 and 2 and got 15.

I figured the same after doing some reading about the forfeited rounds.
That's why I didn't panic and figured I'd still be able to find them in 6 months.

M781 comes and goes. Need to stock up when it is available. It used to be Knob Creek was the place to get it, but I haven't been in a few years. UNAMMO had it recently, you may want to give them a call.

They were all over the place at Knob Creek. Not dried up at all there.

there was a couple dealer tables that were selling them by the case.

Normal price.

You talk them down though. Nobody buys the marked price at KC

I'm kinda surprised that reloadable shells isn't making their own chaulk rounds yet. Their cannon rounds and reusable smoke projectiles are pretty epic products.
