| Where is the best (cheapest) place to get one at this time? I found a place that has the regular mount for $1295 - the barrel mount and the rail mount for $1695 both are - the barrel also so I could get the receiver then register it then get the barrel after I get the stamp. Or I plan on calling today but LMT shows on their sight a rail version for $1500 with barrel that would be a good deal right. |

1500 is not a bad price.
However... You can get a receiver for 600 from http://rapidfire.targetweb.net/cgi-bin/store/agora.cgi/agora.cgi?cart_id=3890307.14193*Ih0rY7&p_id=02118&xm=on&ppinc=big then get a parts kit for 550, you can get yourself a bit of a deal. I believe there is a complete parts kit here: http://www.gunbroker.com/Auction/ViewItem.asp?Item=129858824 and put it together yourself... and buy your barrel after the form 1 comes back from LMT. Thanks for the info one more ? though. If I get the 40mm can you fire 37mm cases in it? I have several 37mm casings from a long time ago when I had a RPB so if I will be making my own rounds anyway would I be better off going 37mm. You can get 37 mm barrels for your 40mm launcher but not the other way round. |

They make "stepped rim" and an angled rim casing that works in either. Those cheap plastic casings that RPB used to sell will not work in a 40mm. Too thick. Randy Shivak makes a 37mm barrel for the M203, which will keep it a title one weapon, however you can then only fire flares, smokes, and gas from it. No anti-personnel ammo. If you are going the 203 route, go with the 40mm barrel. Much more stuff to fire, and you can use the launcher for its intended purpose, as a weapon. GROG |
