9in is the shortest avalible. You can always cut one down but you will have less range and muzzle velocity.
A 7in barrel will be shorter than the end of your launcher reciever. Theres no real point to that.

I'm gonna piggy back on this thread (dont want to start another). Between the 9" and 12" barrel, which do you guys prefer.....If i get one it will be for the carbine length or rifle length ARs?

12in will look good on a 14.5in barrel.
I dont see a reason to go shorter than a 12in 40mm barrel unless you want to mount it on a shorter 11.5in barrel.
