dont know where else to ask this but figured this crowd would be the most knowledgeable.  What is the cheapest source for "dummy" (demilled) grenades for display purposes?  type does not matter I am looking for both pinapples and baseballs (what are the correct names? m67?)

Dummies

Just be careful the ATF doesn't find them and say you're making real ones like they did with Ken Ballew...

The correct term would be inert grenades.

It depends on what you want them for, and what you want to display them with.  One of my favorite places for stuff like that is the Inert Ordnance forum on the www.theakforum.net

I collect inert com block grenades, myself.  Just got a sexy new F1 this weekend :-)

eodinert (very appropriate)  thanks for the info.  I want to make like a glass topped end table that looks like a crate with grenades in it for the man cave.

Damn - I am sorry for perpetuating a MYTH !

OOOPS!

I am former Army EOD, Now Army Contract EOD, and I have been called in to lend "technical assistance" to Police raids to ID "suspicious items found on scene" on many occassions.

The "suspicious items" were dummy/inert/vis-mod training aids and weren't the "PRIMARY" reason for the raids, but, added to the amount of folks stomping around somebody else's house...
